I watch a lot of movies, but I don't go to the theater too often. So when I do go out, I thought I'd post about the movies I see here. More often than not, I'll like the movie. Don't trust my opinion to help you decide if you want to see it. I'm so weird, it's crazy. Plus, I'm an actor, which means I may like things for a completely different reason than 'normal' people. (If you didn't know, actors are the opposite of people.) Like recently:
Ghost Rider: Rating: 4 out of 5
I loved it. Nicolas Cage is fun, and I really enjoy his work. Comic Book movies are not supposed to be Oscar worthy, though, that doesn't hurt. This one isn't, by any means. But it's so entertaining, I didn't really care. I don't know much about Ghost Rider, the comic, but the plot of the movie was easy to follow without any previous knowledge. I just enjoyed it. The use of the Ghost Rider theme song was perfect, and had me grinning EVERY time it came on. Hahaha.
Music and Lyrics: Rating: 5 out of 5
I loved it! Love Hugh Grant. Love Drew Barrymore. Love pointless, romantic fluff. The songs were funny and cute, the story light and simple. No, not a lot of people are going to enjoy it, but it kept me smiling the entire time, and I did not once catch myself thinking "man, this is dragging, how long have I been here?" I just loved it. Hahaha.
I'll probably be saying that a lot.

Stranger Than Fiction Rating: 5 out of 5
This isn't a standard Will Ferrel movie, which I liked. It's intelligent, witty humor, with an intense sense of bittersweetness throughout the entire movie. I don't know that I would even call this a comedy, although there are jokes throughout the movie. Dustin Hoffman did a wonderful job of playing the odd English professor/lifeguard, and Emma Thompson's quirky, method writer left you wondering what she was going to do next. Queen Latifah, though her part was generally small, was also a wonderful straight man to Thompson's off-beat character.
Overall the movie keeps throwing you for a loop, despite how seemingly boring the main character is. I definitely recommend picking it up or renting it [:

O.O Nooo way! *never even considered seeing that movie, suddenly wants to very, very badly.*
I really should probably avoid it, though.
I'm trying to overcome my fetish for men a whole lot older than myself.

Haha, loving older men isn't a crime. John C. McGinley, Hugh Laurie, Jon Stewart, Alan Rickman, Geoffrey Rush, Jeff Goldblum, and <3 Kevin Spacey <3 make my heart melt. ^^
And he's not... you don't see his... you see everything but. Including... well... butt. It's fantastic.

Oh, there's this guy I think you'll like... you won't have heard of him... and if you look up a picture of him, you'll think i'm a nutcase... but if you have a little bit of free time, and take a look on Youtube for 'Jeremy Clarkson' on 'Top Gear' you may see what I mean. If you come across a suitably funny clip. Judging by your extremely tasteful list anyway ^-^. Hopefully somebody will finally understand my thing for him. Most are just either confused or start gagging...
And I am soo seeing that movie... interesting how a bit of nudity makes a movie I wouldn't even consider watching suddenly very, very interesting.
Oh, and I was going to put in a review for The Good Shephard... but really, it isn't even worth the time and effort. Unless you're good at following long, excrucatingly complicated, and not particularly interesting plots, it just isn't a movie worth seeing.
Unless you're there for popcorn and a nice, long nap.
Or to watch how Angelina Jolie and Matt Damon mysteriously appear to never age, despite the fact that it follows them from the conception of their child to the time when he reaches about his mid twenties.
I found pondering that aspect of the film quite amusing. That's how bored I was.

Except... some of us LIKE long, complicated plots. Of course, I hate Matt Damon -and- Angelina Jolie, so I was... already staying away from that one. Hahahaha.
Yeeeaaah. It's never safe to assume I'll like or dislike something -shifty eyes-. But I'll be more than happy to check it out ^^.
Aw. Wild Hogs was good, anyway. The leading four are strong actors, and each enjoyable in their own right. Aw.

It's more of me desperately searching for somebody to finally get the Jeremy Clarkson thing than assuming you'll like him... and you displayed slightly odd, but good taste, so I thought i'd give it a go And i'm definetely checking out Wild Hogs now... I never even knew John McGinley was in it. I just saw some stuff about it when browsing imdb one day... I'll have to drag someone along to see it when it comes out over here.

Haha, well, don't go just for him. He's in it for all of two scenes. Fantastic, wonderful, hilarious scenes, but short and not worth it if you don't enjoy any of the other actors. I love Tim Allen and the others, so that was the pay off. They were the frosting on the John C. McGinley cake, so to speak. Hahahahah.

In The Land of Women 2/5.
It kinda sucked. It was cliche, the acting wasn't great, it was a true chick flick (which I thought it would be sort of diet chick flick, but since Meg Ryan was in it, I should have known), and the fact that the mother and the daughter both kissed Adam Brody is kind of...ick. The two points I gave it out of five were for the precocious, hilarious younger sister and the insane grandma that were the only good parts of the movie.
It was so disappointing.
