What sort of music do you dig? Favorite band or artist? Does what music you listen to depend on your mood?
I'm pretty much into any kind of music, short of Reggae and screamo. My playlist is mostly alternative, though I do have a fair share of pop or rap. I'm happy with pretty much any genre, as long as it's meaningful. I only really have one permanent favorite, and that's of course Alanis Morisette who has been with me since I was about four. I have all of her albums except for Under Rug Swept. I don't really have much of a favorite band, but right now I'm listening to Nirvana, The Who, and Panic! at the Disco a lot more than other bands. And yeah, the music definitely depends on my mood. If I'm feeling good I generally listen to my dance collection, or the Justin Timberlake CD (which is half my dance collection x.x), but if I'm feeling introspective, I definitely wear out my Tori Amos CD.
So yeah [:

I'm open to pretty much everything but most rap (except Eminem, oddly enough), hip-hop, and reggae. My favorite music is 80's pop/rock and oldies from the late 50's through the 70's. As far as favorite bands go, my top 2 are The Beatles and Queen, followed by Bon Jovi and Green Day. I also enjoy listening to Showtunes and theme songs from various tv shows.

Hahaha, yeah. I have really strange music tastes. I'll listen to anything once. I'm not the biggest fan of rap or country, but I do have some on my iTunes.
Kevin Spacey is the MAN. Beyond the Sea? Bobby Darin? Very nice.
I listen to a lot of musicals. I mean. Seriously. My favorite is, of course, Wicked, but I'm also really digging Rent, The Last Five Years, The Drowsy Chaperone, Little Shop of Horrors and the Wedding Singer.
I also -love- it when TV shows do musical episodes. Buffy, Scrubs (<3), X-Play. Whee!
I love comedy music, like Stephen Lynch.
And from there I have a bit of everything. Seriously.

Yeah, I forgot to mention the few musicals. Just Rent, and Les Miserables, which has been with me since before Alanis Morisette. I'm also into some of the older music, too, of course...Fleetwood Mac, Pat Benatar, and random 80s songs.
Anyone happen to be a Weird Al fan? He's been with me for years, now...He's amazing.

Yeah, I was in love with Weird Al when I was younger, but not so much now. I like his older stuff still. I haven't heard a lot of his new stuff, but White and Nerdy is pretty much the best song ever. -shifty eyes- Not really, but it's great.
Weird Al stole our thunder when we were in Disneyland. Last year, during summer, my friends and I went to Disneyland. We were watching these Pirates/street performers and since we were a group of actors we were playing along with them and they forced us to dance with them. We had the audience and everyone was having fun, then Weird Al walks up and NO ONE remembers us. The pirates abandon us to talk to Weird Al, and we're like 'hey guys, we just spent the last ten minutes dancing with you!' He signed a few autographs, and the pirates went off with him.
Haha, it was fantastic.

You know how Weird Al attracts the pirates. His older stuff is the best stuff, but his newer album is pretty cool [: White and Nerdy was only the tip of the iceburg. That album is pretty neat, but my favorite will always be Running With Scissors most.
I saw him in Dallas a few years ago, and a while ago back when I lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Man...when he sang 'Albuquerque', we went wild. It was so great.

I've heard some of Weird Al's stuff. I'm a fan of "The Saga Begins" and "Christmas at Ground Zero", being a Star Wars fan...and well...the other one's just funny. As far as comedic music goes, I actually got to see Stephen Lynch perform at a college near me. He was hilarious. My favorite song of his is the Superhero song. And the Dungeons and Dragons song because that is so me...Mt. Dew, Funyuns, and some D20's man. Lol.
As far as musicals go, my fave is Phantom of the Opera, but I'm also a big fan of RENT, Spamalot (the soundtrack anyway), You're A Good Man CHarlie Brown ('cause I was in it at my school, lol), Wicked, and a bunch of others.

Heh. I'm not much for Phantom. To me, it's sort of like Romeo and Juliet in Shakespeare: over done. -shifty eyes- but I love Spamalot and Charlie Brown! Kristin Chenoweth and Anthony Rapp were cute in Charlie Brown, and I saw Spamalot (and Wicked) in London and it was amazingly fun. Tim Curry is the man!
Haha! I wish I could see Stephen Lynch. Now that The Wedding Singer has closed he's going back on tour, but I dunno if he'll be around my area. I looooove the Superhero song. I watched one of his DVD performances, and that's the song that had my side splitting. I also love Mixer at Delta Chi, Whittling Man and Alter Boy. But I pretty much love everything he does. XD Whoo!

Yeah, he's pretty hilarious. You got to see Tim Curry in Spamalot?! I would have killed to see that? My friend was in London for his closing night, but unsurprisingly there were no tickets left. I love Tim Curry. He amuses me in everything he is in.

Yeah! I also met Tim Curry after the show, and got his autograph. He's a really sweet guy, and even talked to my twin. I was, of course, sarcastic to him. I can't help myself, and I feel -really- bad about it. He has the most amazing eyes I've ever seen on a person in real life. Hahaha.
We had a tough time getting tickets. We were at the ticket booth WAY early, just to make sure we didn't miss our chance to see him. And it took some searching XD. Same for Wicked. Damn Londoners and their love of theatre!
<3
He definitely would have amused you in Spamalot. My twin and I were in -pain-, we were laughing so hard. It was fantastic. ^^

Awesome. My jealousy remains. You actually got to meet him! I think he is a great actor. My friend got to go see Wicked this past weekend (I think in NYC). She drew pictures for the actors (She's quite good). It is her favorite musical as well. She is totally obsessed, lol. And I know she got to go see Kristen Chenowith in "The Appletree" as well. I don't know much about the show, but she idolizes Kristen, so I'm betting she had a fantastic time.
I've never really got to meet anyone like that. I did stagedoor Rent when I went to see it. My friends and I all went in costume as our favorite characters. I went as Mark and had Matt Caplan take a picture with me, lol. It was a bit of a dork moment going up to him in my striped sweater, scarf, and glasses and saying "Can I have your autograph?" Lol. It was a lot of fun though.

He is a great actor!
Ahaha, I would so dress up as a Rent character. Probably Mark, too. I don't have the confidence to dress like Maureen, my fave character. Hahaha.
Kristen Chenoweth is SO cute. I wish I could have seen her as Glinda. Since I was in London when I saw Wicked, I got the London Cast. Except for Elphaba. That was Idina Menzel.
Best. Night. Ever.
I've only met a couple of actors at Stage Door, though. I rarely see shows. Besides Tim Curry, I got to meet and get an autograph from Robin Williams when he was in San Francisco doing a monologue play called The Exonerated. That was pretty freaking awesome.
I was too afraid to wait for Idina, thinking I might do something like faint or vomit. I love her a bit -too- much.

Yeah, my other friend who is a huge Wicked fan almost got a chance to meet Idina, but she was with her parents and they were insistent on catching the next train home, so they made her leave and she couldn't stagedoor. Bummer! But I know what you mean. Anthony Rapp is like that for me. I would looove to meet him, but I'd be afraid I'd do something stupid. I think he's awesome.

Hahaha, I'd probably collapse if ever I got to meet Kevin Spacey. There would be a moment of inarticulate throat noises, then I would simply fall. Hopefully towards him, so he could catch me and/or his bodyguard could tackle me thinking I was launching some sort of anti-Lex Luthor attack.
-shifty eyes-
Ah! I should have waited at the stage door after Wicked, I really should have. I regret not doing it, but even so, the performance itself was more than amazing.

Comic book movie fan as well? I am a big fan of Superman and Batman myself. Actor wise, movie wise, there are several actors I would love to meet. But I would go nuts to meet Harrison Ford. I know he's older now...but Han Solo, Indiana Jones...countless others....I just think he's fantastic in all areas!
