Name: Allison Cameron
Works at: Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital
Personality: Cameron is by far the most empathetic member of House's team and possesses the best bedside manner. She is also known for her honesty, sincerity and possesses a strong moral and ethical character. She is hesitant and unwilling at times to do House's bidding in which she is required to lie or deceive their patients and has gone head-to-head with her boss before on several occasions on the issue. She has also shown extreme reluctance to relate bad news to patients or their family. Often times Cameron overlooks her own needs. She is a realist and an atheist, trusting people at a technical, professional level, but she isn't close friends with anyone. She is a determined and stubborn young woman. She is honest and kind, although House has begun to influence her in her decision of whether or not to lie to patients. At times she has gone against House and at first she was hesitant to do what he said. As the time she worked with him increased her trust has done the same and now she rarely says no to him.
Appearance: Doctor Cameron has brown hair with a tint of chestnut. She wears little make-up, maybe a bit of lip gloss and eyeliner at most. She has a square facial structure, a thin, ski-sloped nose, and green-blue eyes. She is not the tallest young woman, but she is not short, standing at around 5'6. She is slender and it appears she is rather healthy and in good shape.
History: Despite her kind and earnest nature, Cameron has undergone extremely traumatic experiences in her life. According to a conversation between her and House, she fell in love and married when she was twenty-one. However, the marriage lasted six months ending with her husband's death due to thyroid cancer that had metastasized to his brain. It is a touchy subject and could be the reason for the wall she's surrounded herself with. Rumor has it she lost a baby, but there is no evidence to support that. She revealed to Dr. Wilson that she had met her husband shortly after he was diagnosed and that if they hadn't married, he would have died alone. In another surprising confession to Wilson, she told the latter that she fell in love with her late husband's best friend, Joe, but felt guilty never acted on her feelings. She has been asked out by House, and has asked him out, on a few occasions and she is hesitant, partly determined to keep their relationship platonic.
A man infected with HIV coughed blood into her mouth and eyes, putting her potentially at risk for contracting the disease. He suggested to her that she should enjoy life and experimentation a little more, causing her to take crystal meth and have a one-night stand with her co-worker, Dr. Robert Chase. Cameron and Dr. Foreman's friendship became strained after she accused the latter of plagiarizing her article for a medical journal after his article was published. Her frustration and anger were further exacerbated by her peers' indifference (especially House's) to the entire affair. She eventually confronted Foreman and apologized for the angry way she had treated him, though, claiming she didn't want to damage their friendship. Foreman replied by telling her that their relationship was purely professional, and they were by no means "friends." According to House, she was hired because of her good looks. He went on to say that some one that looked like her could have been anything, if she used her looks to get by, but instead she worked for what she wanted, which lead him to believe she was damaged. She continues to try an please everyone, but sooner or later she’s gonna have to stop.

If Allison Cameron felt like crap, she didn’t look it. She looked like normal everyday Cameron, maybe even a little better. Despite the fact that the talk of the hospital was how Dr. Chase and Dr. Cameron had a fight in the hall the other day. Various staff had come up to her for the rest of the day asking if she was alright, and one nurse even said she’d heard that Chase had hit her, then gave Cameron her lawyers number before Cameron set her straight. I mean, seriously. How did the truth get so horribly twisted in only a few hours? It was incredible how quickly gossip spread.
Anyway, she had managed to avoid Chase for the rest of the day, which meant that House had yet to find a case, because she hadn’t been beeped. Today, she decided she would ignore the Australian unless it was absolutely necessary to talk to him. But then again, she wasn’t sure if she could keep her own mouth shut if it came down to it. The Immunologist ran a hand through her damp brown hair, scrunching the wavy strands lightly just to make sure it dried right. She hadn’t had time to dry it properly, let alone put it up. She was lucky that she was even at work on time. She must’ve kicked the cord out of the socket at night, because her alarm clock hadn’t gone off when it was supposed to.
She pulled the strap of her messenger bag over her head as she neared the Diagnostics room, and had a brief feeling of panic as she reached the door, but she was the only one who seemed to be there. And she did -not- want to wait for everyone to show up. So Cameron set her bag down, then grabbed her lab coat and her Hospital ID and headed for Seth’s office. She neared the Head of Optometry’s office and knocked on the door, waited a few minutes, then turned the knob and peeked in. “Seth?” She called, but her cousin wasn’t there. ‘Well Hell.’ She thought, biting her lip momentarily in thought.
‘Where could that girl be?’ But there were tons of answers to that. She could be in the Maternity ward, the Pediatrics wing, the NICU, the clinic, the possibilities in this place where endless! Well…the Pediatrics Wings was off the list, due to the fact that Riylee thought it easier to avoid the place. The clinic was also off, because Riylee did her hours just before she left for home. So with that in mind, Cameron headed reluctantly towards the NICU. Reluctantly, because seeing all those infants sick and dying just tore at Cameron’s heart, the memory of the epidemic during her first year here coming back to her.
“But as long as I’m here, maybe I could help out” She said quietly, entering the NICU and pausing to take in the place, before moving to the front desk. “Hi. I was wondering if Doctor Riylee was putting in any hours here?” She said, turning to watch the parents in the halls as the secretary went to look at the log-in sheet. "No, but she's called to say she'll be coming in in a few hours." The secretary said, making Cameron turn towards her. "Oh, thanks." She stalled for a moment, before opening her mouth to speak.
"Um, do you think you could use another pair of hands? I have some time before House comes in" Cameron said, smiling at the older woman. "Of course, just sign in here. We have a set of triplets in room 309 that were found abandoned and sick just this morning. Our doctors are only to make quick checks on them, so we could use one or to more doctors in there to stay and watch their vitals. Their file' on the door, if you'd be so kind" The elderly said, and Cameron signed in, before heading towards the room.
(I like this one. Cameron is such a trooper -sniffles-)
Do You Want To Play This Character For His/Her Respective Show, Too?: Yeppers. I'm pretty sure I'll be able to handle it.
