Okay, since this was another episode I thought was really good, I decided to make another thread for it. Really, I didn't think it was as good as the last, but still really good. ^^
Dream Plot
To be completely honest, this one lost me a little. Of course I understand that that was probably the point of it and we're not supposed to understand until the end, but...even 'No Reason' made a lot more sense than this did. The whole thing felt really disjointed to me and like even TPTB didn't even know for sure where they were going with it until the end. Granted, I do like how it ended, with the House/Cuddy scene, but still...for most of the episode I was less involved with what the characters were doing and more like 'wtf is going on' Haha. Maybe my feelings about this will change when I watch it again.
The POTW
There isn't much to say about him as I still remain fairly confused about what happened to him, hah. Still, he's a lucky one for having been able to make out with Cuddy years and years ago and I have innate fond memories of him from Buffy, even though I didn't like Riley very much. He has a nice soothing sounding voice and it was nice to see him again. ^^
Foreman
Even though he wasn't in the episode as much as I would have liked him to be, I thought when he was he was fantastic. I've really grown to love Foreman more and more with each episode and this one was no different. I loved his reaction to when Cameron told him what she and Chase were doing. Just the laugh. Hah, poor Chase. Although it was nice to see him stand up for the idea that was originally Chase's and give him a nice tug on the shoulder when he was leaving the room. It gives me the strong urge to go read Foreman and Chase friendship type stories, haha.
Also, even though I can't say I really like Cameron, it was nice to see that Foreman seemed interested in what she and Chase were up to and nice to see their joking moment together, even if it was at Chase's expense. Still, Foreman/Cameron is fanfiction I would NOT read...though I would read it before House/Cameron, but that is NOT saying much! Hah.
Cuddy
Cuddy was definitely NOT in the episode enough but the scenes she was in, especially the dream and the end were fantastic! Love the whole "get over me" and "stop staring at my ass" scenes, I adore the banter between House and Cuddy and FINALLY concrete evidence that they slept together in the past! Everyone knows it was true before but this really shows it. And with how obsessed he is, having gone through all this because of a guy that he remembered Cuddy making out with from so long ago?! Seriously, anyone who says that House and Cuddy isn't for real is BLIND. He's obviously not over her and it's obvious she puts up a good front and knows how complicated it would be, but she cares for him too. I HOPE this wasn't just fanservice and I can't wait to see where it goes from here!
Wilson
I liked him in this episode. His discussions with House, both the times they (although just he was the first time) were peeing as well as about the Village People were amusing. Also, it was nice to see him FINALLY FINALLY show a bit of anger at House for just caring about himself instead of the patient. I was happy when he stole Cam/Foreman/Chase to help the patient himself, even if he ended up being wrong. In the last episode and the whole Tritter arc he seemed like he had no backbone when it came to House so it was nice to see him rightfully angry at him. Also he had nice concern there for House at the end, even though he should know better than to think that a little peeing problem is going to cause House to cut back on his drugs. Heh.
Cameron
Like usual, she had loads of screentime, although it was nice that they actually did something with it for once. Cameron's character...really feels like it's all over the place. While it is good that she told Chase up front that he has no chance with her...does that mean she still has to put him down all the time? Especially in front of Foreman. Yeah, it was a pretty funny scene, but it seemed particularly bitchy of her to do, considering she's always jumping him. Considering how she's treating him, it's SO weird that TPTB are still acting like she's still 'the nice one'.
Naturally she is extremely transparent and is only continually doing Chase because she wants House. Maybe some part of her nature actually does want Chase, in only the sexual way, seeing as how she does have sex with him, it could've been someone else, but I don't think she likes him at all, otherwise she wouldn't put him down. But at the same time, I also think she is completely unaware of the fact that he actually really does like her, beyond the sex, and just assumes she's THAT beautiful that she can have anyone. Which is completely in character for her. Though I loooooved it when House told her to shut up. I really hope she gets put in her place by SOMEONE, things considering, hopefully Chase.
Chase
While you can yell and call Cameron a bitch all you like, you really can't overlook the fact that Chase IS taking it. And he's not even just being an idiot about it, either. He knows that Cameron doesn't like him and he knows that she never will...he knows that all this is is about House...and yet he can still take what he can get. He puts up the front like he doesn't care, but he really does and is the sort of person where having sex really DOES mean something and it's going to get to him. So really, I just feel sorry for him. He really MUST be a masochist to let this happen.
Aside from Cameron, it was nice to see him a little more insistant in his ideas with House, again, even if he's wrong. And like I already stated, I like the idea of he and Foreman getting along a bit more, like when Foreman stuck up for him, it's nice. Also, the fact that he was completely bewildered almost the entire episode was pretty funny.
Ending and Loose Ends
The end was hilairous. I shake my head at Chase's weakness for Cameron at the fact that they WERE doing it at the hospital, again, when House walked it. I loved the smile that House gave as he was walking away, like, he KNEW it was going on and he was pleased to be RIGHT. It was also a kick in the Cameron/House fan's shins because he did not look nor act jealous at all, but was HAPPY. Of course the House/Chase fans will probably just say he was happy to see Chase shirtless, but fans always run with the smallest things, haha.
I really felt for House, for not being able to pee. That would SUCK. And fans loved talking about him in the tub, probably just the horny girls at fox.com/house, but there you have it. I don't think it was really that attractive at all, especially as he was just doing it because he had to pee, but whatever.
All in all, it was a good episode, solid character interaction even though the plot was a bit sketchy.
I give it a 4/5 ^^
